You hear a lot about living a healthy lifestyle, but what does that mean? Do you practice healthy lifestyle?
College life can be tough, stressful and overwhelming at times. So, It is very important for us to lead a well balanced life at college with includes college health. Staying healthy at college is important because it helps us to feel better and more confident. This helps in all aspects of college life including scholastic, social, and overall well-being.
Recently, my dining hall(Stevens Dining Services) decided to switch to Vegan SALT FREE Butter Alternative that has 0 Trans Fat for grill section. Not only it is good for vegan, it is also a better choice than margerine because too much sodium is bad for your health.
Next, they also started Whole Wheat Wednesday where they will serve different type of wheat product from breakfast till late night snacks. Wheat is a good source of complex carbohydrate, the most efficient source of energy available to the human body. I think this is a great idea since students usually dont include wheat product in their meal portions. So far, Stevens students are enjoying their healthy food option serve in the dining hall and they are excited to see what is next.
